The Association for Community Living is now Pathlight.

Founded in 1952 by five mothers of young children with developmental disabilities, the Association For Community Living was the first organization in Hampden County dedicated to serving individuals with an intellectual disability.

Now, 64 years later, we’ve helped transform the lives of thousands of families throughout Western Massachusetts.

Along the way we’ve learned that everyone has their own path to travel. And we’ve learned that being able to see and understand the path helps a lot. So we changed our name to reflect who we are today.

We are Pathlight.

Pathlight partners with people with disabilities to create opportunities and build relationships throughout their lives.

We are the premier provider of exceptional services to people with disabilities and their families.  In partnership, we design high quality, innovative, and person-centered supports for those we serve within our community.

Pathlight firmly believes that people with developmental disabilities should be welcomed, contributing members of their communities. We pursue this commitment through an innovative and energetic approach, reflective of the pioneering spirit that brought us together.

Give Friendship

community, connection, caring

Dances, social skills classes, Café Night, and social groups, to name a few. These are some of the ways that people with developmental disabilities come together, along with their families, to have fun, learn, and grow in friendship.

Your gift will support the ongoing provision of classes, groups, and social events that create opportunities for connection and community for people with disabilities and their families.
